Professor Ayodele Awojobi Design Competition.
PAADC 7.0 is here! And the call for applications is currently ongoing.
Do you have a tech solution that you have been working on? An idea with realistic plans to bring it into reality? Have you been building in private?
It’s time to show the world what you’ve got!!
Time to meet the needs of millions. Time to provide scalable solutions. Time to help people become more productive and efficient. Time to equip the world with the right tools to prepare for the future.
Chef, it’s time to cook!
You see, while Hilda Baci was busy breaking the world record, I was trying to crack the connection between cooking and building solutions. See the similarities I found:
Creativity: Creativity is the thin line between stir fry spag and spaghetti.
While chefs like Hilda explore flavours and ingredients, builders like you devise new features and interfaces to build sustainable solutions.
Planning: Hilda cooked for four days, prepared over 100 meals, and stood all through. Those were only successful with proper planning. As a builder, planning helps you maximize available resources to enhance your outcome.
Process: Moi-moi and akara are prepared using the same blended beans, but the difference is the process. Chefs follow a recipe, while builders follow a systematic approach to providing and implementing solutions.
Timing: Fried plantain can be yellow, brown, or black, depending on timing. Timing is the one element that adds perfection to cooking — and building.
Iteration: We learn by trying. Before attempting to break the world record, Hilda had garnered years of experience in cooking. So, to create a perfect solution, you need to try, fail, and try again.
